Port Phillip Bay Eastern Sands Conceptual Hydrogeological Cross Section

This conceptual cross section of the eastern sands region of Port Phillip Bay (from Beaumaris to Frankston) was compiled from a number of sources including the Environmental Effects Statement for the Edithvale-Bonbeach level crossings removal, the Victorian Aquifer Framework, Parsons Brinckerhoffs 2010 Groundwater Resource Appraisal for Southeast Melbourne and the 2003 edition of Geology of Victoria. Indicating the relative thickness of the hydrogeological formations and their associated aquifer, the conceptual model also provides an indication of the oceans' saltwater interface with the out-flowing terrestrial fresh groundwater.
