The Port Phillip Bay Werribee region hydrogeological conceptual model was compiled from a variety of sources including John Leonards 1993 report ' Port Phillip Region Groundwater Resources', Southern Rural Water 2001 'Deutgam GSPA Groundwater Technical Report - Final', Southern Rural Water 2011 Report for Lower Tertiary Aquifer (Port Phillip) - Groundwater Resource Appraisal, the Victorian Aquifer Framework, and the 2003 edition of Geology of Victoria. Indicating the relative thickness of the hydrogeological formations and their associated aquifer, the conceptual model also provides an indication of the oceans' saltwater interface with the out-flowing terrestrial fresh groundwater.
