This conceptual model was compiled based on the conceptual models from a number of reports, including the Environmental Effects Statement for the Edithvale-Bonbeach level crossings removal, the Victorian Aquifer Framework, Parsons Brinckerhoffs 2010 Groundwater Resource Appraisal for Southeast Melbourne and the 2003 edition of Geology of Victoria. Indicating the relative thickness of the hydrogeological formations and their associated aquifer, the conceptual model also provides an indication of the oceans' saltwater interface with the out-flowing terrestrial fresh groundwater.
